This photo was taken by my brother Duncan in Australia.  He tells me that it shows the difference in size between an european honey bee and an Australian stingless wild bee (which also makes honey).  I like the sound of stingless honey bees!  I wonder how they stop people pinching the honey if they don't attack them with stings?

This one, again by Duncan taken in Australia, is of a European bee on a native Australian plant called a calistemon or bottle brush which apparently the bees love.
