Too windy for most things today, just a few bumble bees about and this huge one.

Still no honey bees, I hate to think that they might hit bad here as well.

The Japanese knotweed is just coming out maybe it will attract some more honey bees, there has been hundreds of bumble bees this year.

I don't know what this interesting moth was beside the bumble bee?

You can see how big this beast was if you look closely you will see the hoverfly beside it to compare!

Lots of bees around today including honey bees unfortunately none of the photos came out well except for this lovely one.  B-)

Bee Beetle Kincraig, Highland, Scotland 8th July 2013

I found this today and couldn't work out what it was.  I think it is a bee beetle which are apparently quite rare in the uk.  B-)

The bees loved this bush all different kinds but all bumble bees.

A lovely sunny day today, still no sign of honeybees.
 

A number of different bees around today but none staying still long enough for photos yet.  This one, at the bridge South Bridge End Crieff, did though.  B-)

 There has been loads of bumble bees around for quite a while now and a few months ago I even saw a honey bee in the crocuses.  Today there were just loads of bumble bees ....

.... and a few honey bees.
